gt greek life

Contrary to what some might have heard, GT actually has a thriving greek life and the most successful and involved students are usually members of greek organizations. Those of you who are considering rushing should at the very least find out what greek life here is all about.
Ladies:
ADPi - beautiful, classy, social, involved on campus, highest GPA
Phi Mu - girls next door, strong sisterhood, diverse, involved
Zeta - beautiful, social, philanthropic
AZD - competitive (spec. homecoming & greek week), fun events
Alpha Phi - newest sorority, preparing to build a beautiful new house
AXO - high GPA, driven, involved, competitive
AGD - nice girls, good sisterhood, diverse
In reference to common negative stereotypes of each house, they exist because they are easy labels, not necessarily accurate ones. Top tier girls don't all act stuck up, mid-tier girls aren't all try hards, and bottom tier girls aren't all losers. Truth is, there's a mix of all three in EVERY house. The tiers are what they are, and if you choose to obsess over them, you probably won't have a very good rush experience. Go through recruitment and make an effort to meet the girls and give them an honest representation of yourself to find where you fit best.

good rush advice--don't get stuck on the names and the tiers. you'll want to have a pledge class that you feel comfortable with and supported by, meaning you'd be better off being honest with yourself and the girls you speak with about your values, priorities, and what you're looking for in a sorority

You could break down top tier even further because ZTA and AZD are not on the same level as Phi Mu and Adpi no matter how much they stalk this site.
