rushing while in a relationship

I'm a freshman guy planning to rush while maintaining a relationship with a girl at another school. Will pledging take a toll on our relationship? Can you go dateless to date functions? Will frat guys pressure me into being single?

No one is going to make you be single and pledging won't take any sort of toll. I would bring a friend as a date though, we'd probably think it's odd if you came alone, and it's no big deal to bring a friend.

As a junior frat guy in the same situation, I've invited my friends (both guys and girls) to date functions so I had people to hangout with. Some frat guys will tell you "life is more fun single" and pressure you to get with hot girls for a little while, but they'll stop eventually. If you've really found the one, then you know better than he does.
