what exactly is the core gpa?

I was wondering if they only took 15 credits in total and if so which ones do they choose to use as our core gpa classes if we have more that meet criteria?

Call admis office at OSU and if they already have your high school transcript, they'll tell you exactly what your core GPA is. It's the unweighted GPA of your main subjects. Electives aren't included in your core.

Core gpa is gpa in Math, Science, History and English classes.
