The list was just as bad two years ago as it is today. Facebook fans and Twitter followers are objectively terrible criteria for a ranking. Number of chapters is questionable, particularly for sororities, because there is a much bigger discrepancy between colonization philosophy. Chapters like AOPi, Zeta, DZ and Chi O are pretty indescriminate with colonization, whereas chapters like Theta, Kappa and Pi Phi are extremely selective. AOPi and DZ don't have many chapters at top 50 universities. Zeta is at very few top tier private universities. As for the donations, the chapters each have different 501(c)(3) setups. It also doesn't reflect any of the charitable contributions that are actually made by individual chapters. They should have added stuff like current congresswomen and current senators among the alumnae. The fraternity one was terrible too, but at least it included current senators and any presidential alumni instead of Facebook and Twitter.
