​PNM Bucket List For 2017-2018 School Year

I cannot wait to get on campus and join a sorority. Like tens of thousands of other rising freshman across the country, I am looking forward to getting through recruitment, getting a bid, and meeting my new sisters for life.  You only get to be a PNM once, so I want to make this year count. Here is my 40 item bucket list of what I want to accomplish this upcoming 2017-2018 school year.


Save summer money to pay dues
Don’t overspend on clothes for recruitment
Be myself during recruitment
Make people laugh during visits with chapters
Go into recruitment with an open mind
Trust that the process will guide me to the chapter that is the best fit
Don’t stress out
Seriously, don’t stress out
Take awesome bid day pics
Bond with my pledge class
Quickly master the creed, moto, rituals, etc.
Give my big a huge hug on big-little reveal day
Make time to hang out with my big at least once a week
Avoid girl drama
Don’t be a terrible roommate
Go all out for philanthropy events
Carve a pumpkin with sisters
Go to a Halloween costume party
Keep my Instagram/social media respectable
Don’t get too homesick
Go home for Thanksgiving and eat a bunch of turkey
Give my big the best Christmas present ever
Go to a Christmas party wearing an ugly sweater
Ace 1^st semester finals
Keep in touch with sisters over winter break
Ask for money as holiday gifts so can pay for spring break
Stay in shape
Maintain friendships outside of my own chapter
Avoid frat boy drama
Keep grades respectable
Participate in Galentine’s Day
Wear green on St. Patrick’s Day
Go on an epic Spring Break
Don’t get arrested
Have a cute/nice date for formal
Find a swimming pool
Study for finals
Crush my second semester finals
Learn from my mistakes as to not repeat as a sophomore
Savor the moment
