Last semester the members of Delta Sigma Pi at UT Austin had a crazy idea. They wanted to create enough buzz on campus to persuade business mogul Mark Cuban to come to campus and speak. The fraternity utilized Tilt to spread the word and fund the event. The event sold out within an hour
.

Traditionally, to spread the word and collect the funds for such an event would be separate efforts. Tilt now provides students social sharing capabilities coupled with a direct and easy platform to collect payments. On average, Tilt campaigns raise 192% of their goal. There’s even an app that allows you to track funds collected while on the go.

According to The Daily Texan , Cuban had some fantastic advice for students that he is able to draw from his personal college day experiences.

This got us thinking…which famous people should other Greek organizations be Tilting? What do we have to lose by attempting to Tilt these people? Not much…Tilt doesn’t charge anyone who has committed money until the predetermined dollar amount goal amount is met. Obviously, it would pretty sweet to claim your chapter was the catalyst for getting one of these megastars to come to your school.  That’d probably be chapter of the year award caliber playmaking.

Here’s a list of some people we think would be worth Tilting…comment below for additional suggestions.

Bill Gates
Michelle Obama
Bill Murray
Stephen Colbert
Judge Judy
Katie Couric
Will Ferrell
Beyonce
Hologram Tupac
