Let me start by saying all of the houses at MSU are very good. The differences between tiers is very slight and narrow, so keep this in mind during rush. A lot of middle tier houses made great improvements this year and are also making big plans for the future.
Fraternities
Top Tier : Sigma Chi, Kappa Sig, Sig Ep
Med Tier : Phi Delt, SAE, KA (Very very close to top Tier houses)
Lower Middle Tier : ATO / Pike
Lower Tier : Lambda Chi, Fiji, Pi Kapp, FH, Delta Chi
Sororities
Top Tier : Chi O, KD, DG
Bottom top Tier : Phi Mu
Middle Tier : Zeta, Tri Delt, Pi Phi
Lower Tier : New houses obviously like ADPi

I think this is very accurate. As you said, however, there is a narrow spread between tiers and some might rank a house up or down depending on personal preference. This will be my 4th year in the Greek system at state and there were some definite shifts this year. Everyone should keep an open mind when they go through rush. EVERY house is very strong. You can be proud to wear any of these letters.

Oh hi. You’re new here. Several years ago, phi mu wanted a new house so they were going to build and sell their house to Phi delt. They decided to remodel instead.

Sigma chi was on social probation for the fall, 2 big parties puts them number 1? Sig Ep is on social probation for the fall after having a girl almost OD from alcohol poisoning. Sigma chi also sent 12 rushee's and 4 actives to JAIL after a rush party?? I would say the real rankings are and in not exclusive order: Top Tier- Phi Delt, Kappa Sig, SAE
Middle Tier- Sigma Chi, Sig Ep KA. no one cares for the rest

People most definitely care about the rest. I know a lot of great guys in Pike, Fiji, LXA and ATO. They're parties are getting bigger and better every year too. And I know they're brand new, but I had several friends that never rushed join Pi Kapp. The guys that started it are pretty involved and have a lot of friends in sororities, so once they build up a reputation and go through a few rushes I can see them doing really well.

Bottom Top-Sig Ep, SAE
Top Middle-KA, Pike
Bottom Middle-LXA, Fiji, ATO
Bottom-FH, Sigma Nu, Pi Kapp, Delta Chi--Pi Kapp is the only one in position currently to break out of the bottom.

Um, no. You mean ADPi's house, which is actually the Sig Ep house they have been leasing to ADPi. Phi MU's house is Phi Mu's house.
