by: pnmWould a sorority not give me a bid based on my high school GPA? i have the required GPA to rush in the fall, but i'm scared that I won't get a bid because its around a 2.9. I'm not stupid or anything I just didn't try that hard in my freshman and sophomore years of high school. which sororities care about high school GPAs the most during rush? please help

I'm going to be honest. Yes, some do care a lot about your GPA. Some of the top tier sororities have a higher standard for their girls when it comes to grades than others do. That being said, if you find the sorority that is right for you and they like you as much as you like them you might have a little more leverage. If they ask about your GPA explain your situation and how you plan on performing academically in the future and that might help as well.
Best of luck!

Many sororities do not take girls who have GPAs below 3.0 however, many do but may require you to do the greek incentive program. This is where you have to get your grades checked off by your teachers and turn them in to the greek life office in order to in the long run be initiated. Its not that big of a deal.
