what is the running of the "bulls/girls"?

when the PNMs are running to their new houses from the stadium after they open their bids. It's like huge clusters of girls all running together so it's called running of the bulls or running of the girls or whatever.

why do they do this. i looked up videos and the girl are almost like on display..

its pretty fun once you do it it's like a parade featuring you with clusters of boys yelling that you're hot
