TikTok PNMs 2023

by:

I feel bad for these PNMs on TT. My OR house will cut them. Most seem nice, a few are trying way too hard, and a few are cringe. Weren’t PNMs told to stay off TT?

No literally they’re gonna get cut from all of old row just over these vids. Ik for a fact my or house will cut them, and after the documentary I bet phi mu won’t be taking any chances either. Pnms if you’re reading this please stop posting anything bama or rush related!!! INCLUDING bama bound stuff, we don’t want to see it I promise

Old row doesn’t want girls who are rushing to get followers. They want girls who are rushing for the right reasons and plan to stick around. Wait until you’re already in and post later.

This comment is comical- in the last couple of years OR accepted the most social media girls ever - even more than most NR houses.

There's great social media and then there's thirsty social media. OR has no problem with great, it's the other that doesn't fit and quality houses know the difference.

AG is the perfect example of thirst. She’s so uncharismatic she’s going to be stuck with Alpha Phi.

Kind of curious how the houses that are cutting based off of TT do things. I get it for the girls that are already posting their PR packages for rush (although a lot of these already have half the Zeta house following them on IG so there's that). But there are others that are pure gems whose content barely mentions rush. If OR cuts them, well NR will be very happy. And honestly, they'll probably be better off with organizations that aren't quite so hypocritical. (I take away the hypocritical moniker from any organization that isn't having their members post on social media during work week for the PR blitz.)

We love pure gems.

Our advisors cut the TT PNMs. My OR house gave a bid to 1 OOTD PNM last year because she had good grades, was from Alabama, and had great recs. She still does TT and it’s pretty innocent so I don’t think anybody cares. But I was surprised she got through.

I just feel bad for the PNMs who don’t know better. Maybe Panhel didn’t make it clear this year cuz there are so many cringe TTs.

I love a good hyperbolic statement as well as the next girl, but unless you have looked at each of those TT PNMs followers and recognized nearly 150 names as Zetas, you’re just blowing smoke. We know you haven’t. Do better.

OR doesn’t get that PNMs don’t care about OR as much as they used to. Threatening PNMs isn’t doesn’t make OR appealing. All the TTs are fine!!! PNMs aren’t doing anything inappropriate. If they are excited and want to share their life with others, there is nothing wrong with it.

If OR houses cut girls, fine. It will just speed up NR taking over in ranks. A lot of girls posting are REALLY good PNMs, OR’s loss. After a few questionable pledge classes OR won’t be so rigid.

Some people take offense to good advice, and call it "Threatening." That says a lot about them. Some people are hard to help. So be it, we'll see.

No offense taken so not really understanding ur point. There r multiple posts on GR saying PNMs will be dropped if they post on TT. That is a threat. U r mistaken to think PNMs only want OR. Some r over the controlling policies of OR. This is going to be OR’s downfall, we’ll see

It's just meant to be helpful. IF someone really wants an OR house they need to be careful about their TT and not be so cringy. How can that possibly threaten anyone who doesn't care?

OR’s attitude over TT is what is cringy. Calling girls cringy for being excited & posting OOTDs for Bama Bound is just rude. OR is just full of judgement. Not a good look

That pageant girl who thrifts her outfits, I think she's from Missouri? I would move mountains to get her into my house, she will have her pick I think....

The most cringey are the girls that filter the heck out of their face til it looks like a lump of pay-dough covered in foundation. Makes me wonder, why ya wanna hide your real face? You can’t have that glint on the top of your nose from every angle. Get real

Wake up people we all know how this works. The pnms know how it works too. If you have connections you are golden. If you are attractive you are golden. If you put on total sweetness on tiktok and people follow you then you are golden. If you are a pageant girl the houses fall all over you which is absolutely ridiculous. It has been like this for ages and will continue to be like this. It is the average looking pnm with a decent resume and grades that will struggle a bit more to get their top house. There are very few surprises during recruitment week when it comes to new members and what houses they land in.

This is so true. PNMs know what they have to do because they have watched the PNMs before them. Majority are not worried about TokTok. They know if they do it right it will likely elevate them. Those that have a brain see right through it all, but the PNMs still come out winners vs the ones that stay off TikTok.

Well, well, well! Look at all these keyboard warriors, sitting on their high horses just waiting for a chance to criticize these poor girls. Really? Shaming them for sharing their experiences and showing excitement? Give me a break. These girls are just following trends, figuring out their lives just like we all did. Maybe if you aged dinosaurs would care more about your own lives rather than worry about the 'impropriety' of some TikToks – you'd have a lot less to gripe about.

And the hypocrisy – oh boy! Old row doesn't want girls rushing to get followers huh? Really? Then why do I see such pomp and parade on Instagram and TikTok about your big 'Greek life'. If you can use social media to enhance your reputations and popularity, why shouldn't these girls do the same? It's 2023 guys - not the stone age. Get with the program or move aside.

And for all those 'Advisers' and old Greek veterans telling these girls they’re gonna get cut for using social media – how about you use that energy to bring about some positive change within your clearly outdated and shallow organizations. But no, can't do that, can you? That would actually require effort instead of sitting idly, complaining on anonymous threads.

Oh, and to all the PNMs out there – don't get discouraged. You do you, keep posting and sharing your life. These naysayers will always try to bring you down, but who cares what they think? You're young, expressive, and you have the right to share your life as openly as you want. If it's deemed 'cringey' by some, that's their problem, not yours!

Go on, make your TikToks and have fun. Rush for the right reasons, but most importantly, for YOUR reasons; not because some old fogey thinks it's the wrong way to go about things.

Listen, you can't just roll up here with no connection or context and immediately start nitpicking and criticizing ZTA. I may be angry right now, but I'm angry because of the unjust slander being leveled against my sisters and my sorority.

Firstly, ZTA is about more than just parties and TikToks. It's about sisterhood, growth, and facilitating opportunities for personal development that extend far beyond our college years. It's an organization that fosters leadership, community service, academic excellence, and character building. These are not petty pursuits but goals that pave the way for a future full of achievements and triumphs.

Secondly, social media does not define us or our values. Yes, we celebrate and showcase our sisterhood on these platforms, but that's a small part of our broader narrative. The world is digital, and we're just trying to stay connected to family, friends, our communities, and yes, potential new members. There's nothing fundamentally wrong or degrading about that.

Lastly, you're mistaken if you think your ill-informed opinions will deter us or prospective members. ZTA empowers young women, inspiring us to break barriers and defy stereotypes. Your negativity won't break our spirit or resilience.
