Myth busting and discussing

Myth: “Actives stalk all of my social media platforms.”
Fact: they will def stalk your insta and probably your vsco if it’s in your bio. Beyond that, there are so many pnms that they won’t care to dive deeper until you give them a reason to—that includes making rush tiktoks.

Myth: “There are top PNMS.”
Fact: yes, there are. you most likely already know if you are one, but being a “top pnm” is relative to the house. houses want different things, and some girls might have a sister in the house pulling for them which carries a TON of weight. just because you aren’t one doesn’t mean you won’t get your first choice.

Myth: “Houses will drop me because of how I look, what I’m wearing, etc.”
Fact: I have never heard of anyone being that superficial, and if a house is like that you definitely don’t want them. Don’t look like you just rolled out of bed, but if you put yourself together and wear clothes that flatter you (which does not mean feeling like you have to spend hundreds on outfits), and you can HOLD A CONVO, you will be fine.

Myth: “The active I am talking to is who decides if I get dropped or not.”
Fact: the active will vote on you using whatever system her house has in place, but it’s a computer that decides everything at the end of the day, not even the rush team. Even if the active gives you perfect scores sometimes the algorithm is just weird. In my house some of our top girls got cut BY US before we even talked to them because of this. It’s just weird. So do not take getting dropped personally.

Myth: “It’s incredibly hot during rush week.”
Fact: it ABSOLUTELY IS. CANNOT stress that enough. Plan accordingly lol
