Social Media Do's and Don'ts
by: pnmWhat are the general rules for how to interact with actives on social media? I'm an OOR PNM and I don't have many connections to active sorority members except through social media. I've cleaned up my instagram already but I don't know how to stand out. Is it frowned upon to follow actives or should I wait for them to follow me first? Also is it better to have my account private or public?

You may wish to be public so that more people can find you. Sometimes they do not want to request private accounts, so bring public means more should be able to see you without feeling intrusive.
You should put Bama 2026 or something similar in your bio to make searching for you easier also. Consider doing a post on the uaclassof2026 Insta page which will tag you. You can start to follow all the sororities from the uapanhellenic Instagram - seeing who they follow you will find all… and then from those chapter instagrams, begin to follow actives
