Pretty good for what you would expect from Cornell. Very competitive to get into top frats and sorties, alot to do with where u are from and wealthy u are. Lots of athletes and boarding school kids. Overall makes the place much better

Very social climbey, which is what you get, adding a social power structure into a school full of 15,000 undergrad nerds. Parties are ok depending on the frat, good houses depending on the frat, membership ranges from 90 ppl in some to fewer than 15. Something for everyone.

Telling that everyone talks about how Greek life has declined at Cornell -- because it's dropped from half of students to a third. and gone from 99% of stuff to do to 75% Cornell is a pretty inhuman place: super-stressful, competitive, isolated, bad weather, etc. Greek life is far from perfect here, but it makes Cornell liveable.

Greek life is huge at Cornell, almost 1/3 of all students are in greek life. Frats definitely haze more than srats, but that said a few srats (mainly upper mid and top tier) partake in some form of hazing.

This past year alone, the university withdrew recognition of Sig Nu, Llenroc, DX, Sig Ep, and is considering kicking off Lambda Chi and Sig Chi. Ridiculous. This is on top of Psi U and ATO getting kicked off a few years ago, and frats like ZBT and Chi Phi getting suspended for BS reasons.

There's 5000 kids in greek life, an if you want to be in the social loop you need to be in a sorority or fraternity. The administration is kicking the good frats off left and right for hazing, so the future of greek life is super uncertain. Might just be a bunch of bottom houses only if this keeps up. RIP

33% of Cornell students are in Greek life. They live in mansions, the parties much better than going to bars, and the guys/girls in the upper middle tiers (SDT/Tridelta/PiPhi) and above are pretty attractive on average (well, for cornell) . Wish there were more sororities so there would be more diversity amongst them, but that's just the way it is. Greek life is pretty elitist in nature, but the only way to party. Enjoy it before Pollack shuts it down.

When Psi U died, so did the rest of Greek life. Nothing’s been good since 2016 and the administration is working hard to eliminate everything.
