Interesting. I am friends with many KD alums that just graduated from UGA with 3.7+ GPAs and have extremely high paying jobs in a tough economy. I'd say they're doing just fine for themselves. Go Greek!

house has a minimum GPA requirement before a girl can be rushed doesn't matter about anything else. I thought all houses had that requirement?

average gpa to get into UGA was 3.7 to a 4.0, so it's kind of hard to believe someone's gpa could be too low at least for freshmen

but you're wrong this girl has a gpa of UNDER 3.25. She was amazed she got in too. My point remains KD must have a very low GPA requirement as compared to other houses. My house couldn't rush her - she's my friend and I was very disappointed.

not much of a friend if you asked "how come they accepted a girl other houses weren't allowed to rush?" You should be happy for her. Also, I'm sure she doesn't appreciate you calling out her GPA.

name given - and she couldn't care less - she was cut by several houses that weren't allowed to rush her. KD didn't have a problem. Surprised that's all. My other friends in KD are very smart and cute - I have no hate at all for this house.

you realize you dissed "your friend" again by saying "my other friends in KD are very smart and cute." So does that mean you don't think she is very smart or cute? Give her a break. Maybe they saw something in her that UGA recognized by accepting her despite her GPA of less than a 3.25. I know plenty of girls in other sororities who had GPA's fall below a 3.0-- some of them in the so called "smart" sororities. Now that she's in college the slate is wiped clean. Many kids who come in with high GPA's are due to grade inflation. Certain public schools add 10 points for honors and AP classes. Others don't. GPA's are not created equal.
