Wake Forest University - WFU Greek Life Reviews

As a senior, I've loved my involvement in a sorority at Wake and would recommend to anyone attending this school to think about going through recruitment. At Wake, Greek life opens doors to service, social, and leadership opportunities. Living on the halls, attending date functions, and enjoying sisterhood were all benefits of Greek life that I'll remember positively after graduating as a part of my experience at Wake.

Greek life at wake is what makes wednesday thursday friday and saturday nights fun. It is amazingly fun. Girls are able to get into most partys easily. For guys it can be tough as there are lists for guys and most of the time a guy will be kicked out unless he knows brothers. Rushing is averagely competitive for girls as pretty much all girls get bids but some dont get bids where they would like to. For guys it is tough as there are less spots each year with less fraternities. This year only like 160 buys got into frats and over 300 girls got into sororities.

Wake Forest. The best. Wild. Great time.

Greek life is big at Wake but is not the end all be all of campus life here. The parties are great (Princeton Review top 20 party schools for 2 years now--and undergrad population is less than 5000!) and students are passionate about their orgs, philanthropy, and studies. At a school Wake's size it's not really necessary to join greek life to "find your group" but it's one route to do so. Despite a lot of the trash talk on this site about different groups, greek life at wake is thriving.

Greek Life is a huge part of Wake Forest, and even though it's not necessary to have a social life at the school, it makes a difference. People take it seriously.

Hazing ubiquitous. Involvement in philanthropy is minimal. Greek life at wake is only good for the parties.
