Does A&M Have an “Old Row”?
by: WonderingSome of the other SEC schools have the whole Old Row vs New Row. Is that a thing at A&M? If not, could it be? Who are some of the first fraternities and sororities at A&M?

adpi, chi o, dz, theta, kappa, and zeta are all founded around the same time (1975) so ig they’re all “old row”? a&m doesn’t really have old row rankings tho because of how irrelevant greek life is here, plus all these chapters that would be considered to be “old row” are so varied in the rankings we already have in place.

Truth… Kappa is not highly sought after, especially after the dumpster fire they’ve created the last few years. The only people that like XOs are XOs. Theta is ok, kind of a snore. ZTA is a top house, even though some are kinda fake. ADPi is on the come up, despite everyone hating on them, but they’ve been bottom for years. People sleep on DZ, but they’ve been on the come up too after a bad rap a few years ago, they’re top 5.

Wow this past recruitment Kappa was most preffed house, largest pledge class. Let’s see what happens this recruitment.

there is something about having an established house whose alums are invested in a chapter. The XOs have amazing dedicated alums. The Zetas & Adpis - look at their new houses. DZ has had a turnaround thanks to the money coming in. Its not "old row" but it's old foundations and traditions that do matter

You can’t have Old Row when the oldest sorority here started in 1975!
Greek life is a drop in the bucket at A&M. Just not a big deal at all. If you’re looking to go somewhere with big OR Greek energy, this isn’t it.
Why did you add “ if it’s not could it be?” You want it to be a big deal? Go to Bama.

Chi O Kappa Theta Zeta are the old row. Consistently made quota every year from the beginning and highly sought after. DZ and ADPi have struggled making quota and have had low academics and not desired.
