Spring rush/cob/rushing as a junior
by: Newbie
I have a few questions so I thought I’d just ask them here.
I am currently a sophomore at tamu and am really interested in joining a sorority. I have a 3.4 gpa and I’m involved in a few organizations on campus. What is the probability of houses having COB spots for me to possibly join this spring? Or is it even too late for that now? Would it be better for me to wait it out and try and rush as a junior or would that lower my chances even more?
If the odds for a COB/spring rush are good how should I start that process?

i would look into spring recruitment to see what your options are! look into the houses that are doing spring recruitment and if you aren’t sure how you feel then wait for fall recruitment so you can get the vibe of each house! i rushed as a junior and got my top pick so you should be okay

formal recruitment in the fall is kind of horrible (worth it to be in a sorority at the end tho). had I known just how CHILL spring rush is, I might’ve waited to do spring instead of fall rush. and yes I should think almost any house that’s doing spring COB would at least consider taking a sophomore. but you could still rush as a junior, but it might be a little weird amongst a sea of freshmen.
