I’m scared...advice??

by: Pnm

How large are the cuts after philanthropy round? The first cut seemed really large. I got cut from almost all the sororities I wanted and now I’m feeling insecure :/. Does it get smaller? About how many people get bids do you think?? I underestimated how many people would be rushing and now I’m getting worried

Also this post makes me seem full of myself so I’d just like to clarify I’m in no way implying that I’m above being cut or anything like that!! I’m just wondering if I should drop and wait to rush when it’s in person since I don’t really have connections or anything and the first round was just a 1 min video

Don’t worry about it and don’t drop out. The houses that invited you back liked your video and resume and most likely will like talking to you too

Hang in there & keep an open mind, remember that everyone going thru recruitment is going thru the same thing. It is hard but try not to take it personally! Some days cuts will be more than others. At the end of the process all u need is one house anyway!

It just takes one house! Everyone who makes it to Pref gets a bid (as long as they don’t “suicide” and leave a Pref party they attended off their Pref card).

Rush at A&M is competitive. Everyone has great grades, EC’s, etc or else you wouldn’t have gotten into A&M. Recs and connections are very important for the top recruiting chapters (guessing those were your faves because they’re also everyone else’s faves).

Hope you will stick with the process because the chapters that invited you back saw something in you that made them want to get to know you better. It’s time to make some new favorite chapters!
