would homeschooled students feel comfortable

by: question

If a person had been homeschool k-12, would that person feel comfortable in a sorority? Are there any homeschoolers in sororities?

I'm guessing you were Valedictorian and captain of every team. You will look really good on paper.

I think it would depend on your social skills.

Each and every person should be made to feel welcome to take part in rush. You need to understand that the atmosphere is highly competitive and emotional. If you have been very sheltered this may be hard, but it's hard for everyone. Only you can know if this is something you want to put yourself through but those going through with you will not know your background unless you want to share it. Welcome to TCU and good luck no matter what you decide.

lots of sororities have girls who were homeschooled. this is a Christian school in Texas. Don't worry about it. Go through rush.

Just go through recruitment. It's very intense and emotional but totally worth it. There are home schoolers in sororities. Have an open mind and you'll find your home.

I was homeschooled 4th - 12th grade and I'm in a sorority. It is a really great experience.

Loads of people in the Greek System and at TCU were homeschooled for earlier grades. Not a problem. It could really help you.

I would say about 20 percent of my sorority was Homeschooled at some point.

Each person going through recruitment comes with unique life experiences. Maybe you had more freedom to do community service or travel...put a positive spin on what you bring to the table and if you are personable, have good RECS and are attractively put together, your chances should be as strong as anyone else. Good luck!

I like this persons viewpoint. Talk about the unique things you were able to do and you should have no problem finding a house full of new sisters.
