by: help!I'm going through rush in the fall and was just wondering what the GPA cut offs are for most sororities? I have a 3.0, will that hurt me?

The truth is that it will hurt you in some houses. Many girls going through will have a 3.8-4.0 average. No one on here will tell you cut-offs that haven't been officially posted because it's private membership selection information. Just be aware that some houses have unofficial cut-offs above 3.0 even though on their official information it says 3.0.
This is a good thing, though. If it is harder for you than average to keep high grades in high school, it will be MUCH harder in college with so many thing to be involved in. So just go with the flow. All the houses are good and they all do the same activities. You'll find a great sisterhood wherever you go!

definitely agree with this answer. some unofficial cut-offs are as high as 3.5, and even 3.25. also, don't think that the lower houses will have lower cut offs, every house wants good grades! but if greek life doesn't work out for you there are so many other ways to get involved on campus. good luck!
