No, it won't help to tell them that you will be there for 3 years. Your chances with the sororities on campus now are very, very small. Alpha Phi will be colonizing in 2015. They will be taking all classes of members, so that will be your best chance. They won't have a house, but you don't have to have a house to have a sisterhood. Work very hard to bring your GPA up in the meantime. 3.01 is not that great. Good luck

It'll be extremely hard unless you know someone in a house already who is starting to rush you literally now for next year. I would really consider joining Alpha Phi. I know it would be new and wouldn't have a house while you're at Ole Miss however, all the ADPis couldn't be happier when they helped colonize their chapter. I would really REALLY consider that if I were you! there will be so many new girls in it and it'll look great on your resume and you'll be so happy you helped start it.

I'm currently in a sorority at ole miss and rushed as a transfer and it went well so don't worry! Being a transfer won't mean too much to most houses on campus
