What significance does an in house rec letter have or more than one in house letter? Can it really make the difference if you're lacking in an area like grades?

In house alumni actually attended ole miss. They are usually way more invested in the local chapter. Many alumni still volunteer or donate huge sums of money. Sorority membership is for life, and many of these women are still involved on some level.

All our ole miss chapters have alumni advisors who help us with rush. They work very closely with the recruitment team to make sure that every girl offered a bid is a good fit for the local chapter.

An alumni from a different school can recommend a pnm, but they would really have no idea if she would make a good fit.

You have to be a real stand out in some other area to overcome poor grades, as in 2.8 to 3.0. If you are below 2.8 or so GPA, no recommendations are likely to make a difference.
