by: Out of State PNMI'm an OOS PNM with some connections. I have 3 recs for Chi O, 3 recs for KD, 3 recs for DG, and 4 for Tri Delt (one is from a chapter president in my state). I have a 3.975 GPA and many clubs/activities. Honestly, how likely am I to get into any of those 4? I have 2-3 for each of the others. What is my best bet if it's impossible to get a bid from the 4 I mentioned? Thank you!

Did you network in the spring? How much did you network over the summer? Have you been out with any actives since you've been on campus?
The four that you mentioned all had their preliminary lists done since May, and vetted by their alumni over the summer.
Were any if your recs from in house alumni who graduated from ole miss?

Honestly, I just put myself out there every time I visited Oxford. If I met a nice girl while at a restaurant or store on the square and I had any kind of connection with her I asked her about her sorority and told her I would love to talk to her about it. I started doing that my junior year. It was kind of easy for me because I can literally talk to a wall, but if you are truly connecting with the girl it should be easy for you as well! Hope that helps :)

There is one missing piece to the puzzle! Because your recs didn't come from in house alumni, did you make a good enough impression on the actives so they would go to bat for you with the alumni? Don't forget the girls may vote for you, but the rush team along with the alumni order the lists.

I honestly started networking the spring of my junior year. I know girls in every house. I went out with actives a few times my senior year and a few times now this year! I'm friends with girls from almost every house on Facebook. However, none of my recs graduated from ole miss. All from my home state or the state over.
