We see the same questions over and over again so lets clear some things up.
1. I have below a 3.0, will I get a bid?
Depends. Grades, involvement and connections will all play a part in your bid. It is possible you will get cut and you need to have an extremely open mind and take what you can get.
2. I am from out of state/the north, will I get cut?
No. There are girls from all over in all sororities. Being from the north might hurt you in some but in general where your from wont hurt you too much. BUT...
3. I have no connections, will I get cut then?
Yes! Location and connections are correlated so normally the northern girls have less connections than the southern and mississippi girls do in some houses. Having connections is just about as crucial as your gpa. No connections could very well mean no bid just as a low gpa does.
4. Do I need recs?
Yes duh. If you dont have them/dont know about them go ahead and give up because you will be dropped by all sororities.

5. Do I have to wear a certain brand to be considered for some houses? (Lilly, Tory Burch, etc)
No! We enjoy originality, don't think you have to wear these brands. However, do remember you want to look put together and with an outfit that will be memorable and presentable. (Also remember these are girls you are trying to impress, so fashionable but not super skin showing is best.) Make sure it is cute, put together and you won't mind being in 80 degrees plus weather in it running around (literally, you never know how your schedule will end up)/sitting/standing) Also, bring flats for your bag. If your two parties are far apart and you don't want to run barefooted you could run in those instead of the heels you wear to the parties. Good luck!

what type of purse/bag to girls bring to each day (casual tshirts / skit days)?
i know that for the dressier days when wearing heels/wedges, its a bag big enough to bring essentials as well as flip flops, perfume, deodorant, whatever.
just curious as to what most girls bring. i was thinking a medium sized longchamp but i honestly have NO idea. Thanks!!
