chances at upper tiers

if i have a cousin or aunt that is an alum from a top house and also wrote me a rec letter, does that make my chances of getting in any greater?

everyone gets a letter to a top house.

aunt and cousin aren't strong connections. and it must be ole miss legacies not legacies at west kentucky community college
