I’m sure there are people in your town that are alums from other schools. They can write them.

Why would you be “sure” of that? Imagine if you were a business that required a letter of recommendation before you were allowed to spend $12,000 - $24,000 over 4 years to organizations sanctioned by the University for clients recently approved by the University.

Now imagine letters of recommendations being required to be recruited by groups who proudly hold the tradition of making their recruitment list before recruitment begins.

Blow it off.

Start by asking your teachers from high school, women at church, and your friends' mothers. If you have a mom, ask her to ask her friends. You can make a polite post about it on Facebook too.

Literally ask anyone. I am from OOS and I had a hard time finding letters. Other than asking everyone you and your family knows, reach out to your local alumni associations. A lot of times they have contact info for people who write recs. That is how I found a lot of mine.
