Get them in this semester. Ask everyone you know - teachers, friends of your parents, people at church/community groups, your friends' moms, etc. You never know where you might find alums who can write a rec.

Do I need OM alum rec letters or will rec letters from any alum work? I'm from Missouri - most family/family friends went to UofA or University of Missouri.

It really depends on the sorority. For KD, DDD, DG and especially Chi-O you really need letters with Ole Miss Connections and more than one. With those four it's also better to have an Ole Miss personal connection.

For Kappa and Phi Mu it would be better to have a letter with an Ole Miss connections, however they will look at a good resumed non connected OOS student with a non legacy rec letter. For these two it would be recommended to have more than one letter.

Pi Phi and AOPi do require letters and it would be better to have more than one. However these two are made up mostly of OOS students, so they will accept letters from any university/college alum, but an Ole Miss alum letter will carry weight. A strong resume will also be needed.

For the other three a letter from any sorority alum would be sufficient.

The University has information on the Panhellenic website regarding recruitment and recommendation letters. Pay attention to that information, most sororities have the same basic instruction for recommendation letters, but there are some slight differences for others. Most have a minimum requirement of one letter but I would recommend at least two for each sorority.
