best house for sweet, smart, pretty "good girls"
by: "Concerned Mom"
My daughter is attending IU next fall - and is excited about pledging a sorority. I was a tri-delt in the 90's - and obviously she won't be pledging my old house - yet I assume from a mom's perspective is a good thing- you don't get kicked off campus for nothing.
Wondering- which houses have best reputation for - Pretty girls whose christian faith is important to them- like to have fun and are outgoing - yet also very smart, kind and authentic.
Are there certain sorority houses with a larger presence in Greek Intervarsity, Cru etc?

My best advice would be to let your daughter go through recruitment without any biases, and see which ones she likes. You can ask for the stereotypes about each house but like in everything there is good and bad in all houses and the only way she is going to find her fit is by going through recruitment with an open mind, and no biases.

Your daughter goes through the process NOT you mom, let her decide!!!
Have you ever thought that maybe she doesn't even want those thing but you do...projection much.
Also, the best chapter for her is the one that she actually gets in....you can read the stories here. This is annul recruitment process .

If being in a sorority is really, really important to HER and what SHE wants from her college experience, I would consider going somewhere other than IU. The odds are NOT in the PNM’s favor here If she is a really outgoing, networking type of person (not related to getting people to submit recs - more like establishing a relationship with girls before rush even starts) then she has a better chance. There are an infinite number of nice, cute girls with good grades in rush.
