fraternities not responding to me?

I'm an out of state student who wants to rush this year and I signed up on the IFC site to rush. I also filled out many forms on some fraternities sites in order to get in touch with them. However, rush time is here and I have not heard from any org and none of them have reached out to me? Do you really need connections to get into all the frats here how do I go about joining an org?

Rush started last spring and went through the summer, it's already pretty much over

be careful about following any advice given on greek rank - contact the university - actually call each chapter on the phone - go to the houses in person - do anything but blindly follow advice on greek rank
