What are the real sorority rankings here? Top tier? Mid Tier? Bottom Tier?

High GPA competitions have always been between AEPhi, DG, and ADPi. I think that's the top three in that order for this past semester.

Not in a sorority this year but I have a lot of friends who are in a lot of different ones and they're all great! I'm planning on rushing next year and I know they say to keep an open mind but that's kind of hard for an upcoming sophomore who has been observing and getting to know the ranks. From what I've seen, this is how I feel like it is:

Theta, Pi Phi, Kappa, Chi O
Zeta, Tri Delt, AChiO
DG, APhi, ADPi
KD, AEPhi, AXiD

Financial trouble????? That's a laugh. Some of the wealthiest women in the country are ADPIs. It's the oldest sorority.

I'm sorry I have to defend my friends here because this has gotten ridiculous! ADPi is THE oldest sorority and one of the top national groups. ADPi at UT is one of the oldest and strongest groups here and they are nothing but classy. Someone needs to get a life.

I think ADPi at UT is doing fine financially because they've increased the number of pledges they take each year which ensures lots of dues. Nationally ADPi is not one of the strongest sororities and they do have financial issues. They are strong in the south (Clemson, Univ. of South Carolina, ) but other than that they struggle. Kind of like Phi Mu and KD--lots of strong chapters in the south, but outside the south they're just so so or very weak. ADPi is not one of the top national groups and is no where near the prestige of strong national groups like Zeta, TriDelt or XO.

Zeta is not that much better than KD or ADPi nationally. Top six are probably PI Phi, Kappa, Theta, Tri Delt, DG and XO, then Zeta, KD, and ADPi, then either AXO or APhi round out the top ten. All these groups are strong nationally though (and others too).

Nationally the order is:
Kappa, TriDelt, XO, Theta, PiPhi,DG,APhi,AXO,ZTA

There is a BIG gap between these groups and the rest as far as money and the way their organizations are run.

The next level is DZ, GPhiB, ADPi, AZD,KD,AOPi,AGD,SK,DPhiE

And then the smaller NPC groups are on the next level. These are groups that aren't at many schools. They are AEPhi,Sigma Sigma Sigma, AST, ASA,Phi Sigma Sigma

APhi and AXO are a level above ADPi and KD. Alpha Phi is very regional just like ADPi and KD, but quite frankly, being good on the West Coast is not as big as being good in the South, and I don't see how that's an indicator of being run better. AXO I'd decent all over but doesn't seem to be particularly strong in any region. There is no way APhi or AXO are richer or better run to any major degree than KD or ADPi. It seems like this opinion was largely informed by the ranks at UT since you just put the top 9 here in the first group.

I'm in a group that isn't at UT and this is just the way it is on a national level...doesn't mean that's the way it is at UT so get over it..
