Even if you pref 2 sororities, you can still not get a bid. It is very uncommon, but it can and did happen last year. You will get a call either way on bid day from your Rho saying that you either got at least 1 bid or that you didn't get a bid. This way no girl is opening up her card with nothing inside.

You cannot get a bid from more than one sorority - the one you get is all. If you don't like it you can refuse it and try COB

Only rank both ur pref sororities if you’d actually take a bid from both of them because if you get a bid from either on bid day, even if it wasn’t the one u ranked first, u are bound to said bid for a year and cannot COB or rush again until the next cycle of primary recruitment (in 2024) even if u decide to drop right after after bid day.

that's not what happens. you're guaranteed a bid if you rank both.
