TIPS AND ADVICE FOR WINTER RUSH (NEED REPLIES)

I plan on rushing this winter and looking at some of the top houses... is there any advice on how to get a look from a house considering fall was all about who you knew? Is reaching out to the rush chairs or walking up during a party and tell them you are rushing considered weird??
