not understanding this whole “tier” system lol what?

okay lol so like sorry if i don’t know much about greek life, but i find it kinda silly how everyone rates sororitys on a “tier?” lmao what? what does that even mean? are you basing it off how good the sorority is as a whole, or are you literally basing it on how pretty the girls are, how much money their family has, and how much they party? that’s all this website seems to be concerned about, seems kinda superficial if you ask me. thought sororities were supposed to be about making friends, philanthropy, and having fun... not putting certain people down and certain people at a “higher level” because they’re in a so-called “top tier”? Lol is this what greek life is really like? If so i’m definitely reconsidering. yikes, lmk.
