kappa took 34 new members this FR, which was less than Phi Sig. They got cute girls, but idk what about being under quota is good

yep. they also patrol greekrank constantly proclaiming themselves top. Everyone considers them top for parties, but that's it. They all upped this post since one of them obv made it. No one besides kkg considers kappa top

the grade report says kappa took 34 new members but Kappa on their insta story/at meet the greeks says they took 47. so did they make quota and then 13 new members dropped before the semester was over? that sounds like a lot.

people only consider kkg top for parties though, because that's what kkg's always valued. Yeah they seemed to do better than people expected with recruitment, but they still didn't take that many girls. Kappa's top in parties, but basically every other house is more well-rounded. kappa's kinda always done their own thing so it's hard to rank them- they're def not irrelevant, but they really don't excel in anything besides social life. Everyone except kkg values being well-rounded and bases rankings on that; if someone ranks kkg top, it's a ranking done by a kappa.
I have several friends who are in kkg and they're cool. I'm genuinely glad kkg's still here. I'd like to see them try to be more well-rounded and break out of the party girl stereotype, being more well-rounded is what makes people want to join. Just prioritizing social life limits who wants to join kappa, which is prob why they didn't have a huge PC. Their sisters genuinely get along for the most part, and they're fun people, but it's pretty inaccurate to rank them as a top house when they're only top in parties tbh

while all of this is true, girls join kappa also bc kappa doesn't gaf. the girls who rush kkg tend to just do their own thing (therefore not really conforming to the other "sorority" stereotypical things) and not really care. like they don't care if they come off b itchy or they don't care if they're not bffs with every girl in the chapter. yea they like to party but its also joined like bc they aren't fake. sometimes i wish i had joined it instead bc i feel pressure to be good at certain things in my own sorority and my friends in kappa just don't care

Idk I’d say the “upper” and “middle” categories are the only two ones I wouldn’t change. I think everyone agrees Chi o and ADPi are great but need a push to be at the top, and KD and Pi Phi are behind them but are all around good houses just without an overall stereotype. AEPhi might not be stigmatized like Phi Sig but they’ve got the second worst GPA next to Kappa and they had fewer actives this semester than Phi Sig which speaks to their retention.
