There seems to be some debate as to which is better. I'm curious to know what people think. I know DG was top on campus for a long time but then it started to develop a bad reputation and tanked in rush last year. So it is agreed that SK is better now or is there still debate?

DG has hot juniors and seniors, awful sophomores, and ok freshman.
SK has all 4 great.

SK is better. DG had many years on top, it was just their time to fall. Greek chapters are rising/falling all the time. The only reason DG is still considered top is because of what they used to be. If DG gets another bad pledge class (which they likely will) they will not even be top tier anymore.

DG is still a good sorority because their incoming juniors and seniors are good. However, I think their reputation has been damaged enough that it will take them a while to recover. They are probably losing their spot in the top tier after this year. So by default, SK is better.

Sorry to say it, but even if DG does a good job in recruitment this year their reputation is still going to be overwhelming and hurt them. It's not for no reason- they just arent nice girls. For every nice DG there are 5 that will look at you like you're dirt for no reason. Everyone got tired of them acting like they were the queens of GW and giving dirty looks to other girls and just being super rude and snobby.

It's not random, if you haven't noticed a lot of people on here have been ranking SK higher than DG. It's interesting to discuss why and also important for incoming freshmen to know.

Also its what you make of getting into a chapter. I'm pretty sure not that many SK's disaffiliate and they're sisterhood looks really tight... so clearly they are happy and get along really well

I think you typed your comment backwards... KD is a bunch of misfits who wish they were in one of the top 4 but got very quickly dropped or were to scared to go through rush. A one semester KD alum dropped recruitment because her boyfriend made her then joined KD.... Clearly her boyfriend wasn't fearful of her joining misfit Island.

KD is not better than SK. But they are deff better than Pi Phi, Phi Sig, SDT, and AEPHi. And people definitely like them more than DG. They'll do fine doing recruitment.
