by: QuestionWhat's happening with rush hostesses this year? Anyone know? I heard there was some panhel-wide law against it but I haven't heard anything since..

The Panhellenic Bylaw states: 'Undergraduate Panhellenic women shall not participate in men’s formal recruitment. Participation is defined as collegiate member attendance at scheduled or publicized recruitment events during the men's formal recruitment period. A violation of this bylaw is also a violation of Unanimous Agreement 10.'

Girls are not formally allowed to assist in the recruitment of members for fraternities. They aren't allowed to explicitly promote the rush events for any fraternity, they are not permitted to attend any formal recruitment events, and girls are advised not to visit fraternity houses during the period between first rush and bids day. This is to abide by UA 10.
