Alpha Xi Delta - ΑΞΔ Sorority at University of Alabama Birmingham - UAB 2.5 As someone with friends in this chapter- they are all miserable. Most of them stay for a boost in their resume, or they feel obligated to stay because of one person (their little or big). Dont get caught in this chapter's mess! Every week my friends are crying, complaining about how demanding of their time this chapter is, and how unsupportive of a chapter it is as a whole. During this recruitment week I've only heard it's gotten worse - girls being cruel to other sisters and to PNMs and not a finger being raised because the sister's in question are 'good for publicity'. Here's a tip- save your money and your mental health and try some other chapter. Good luck during recruitment week girls and don't make the same mistake as my poor friends (who will hopefully be ex-sisters soon!!)

Alpha Xi Delta - ΑΞΔ Sorority at University of Alabama Birmingham - UAB 2.5 As someone who was an active member: run FAST! These women are so incredibly toxic. There is pretty much only cliques - if u try to make friends with people 'outside' your assigned clique (which is dependant on who u meet during recruitment), you essentially become out cast. They don't support each other AT ALL - any sisterly love you see online is fake. When I was going through a family and physical health crisis and needed support I was berated for not being present enough in the chapter. I've seen them bully the few friends I've made in the chapter out of it, and the only 2 I have remaining in the chapter both say they hate it and are staying just to keep it as a resume boost. TLDR : This sorority is incredibly toxic and if you value your mental & physical health you'll want to stay AWAY!!! Take it from someone who spent 2+ years in it- its a bunch of bad apples with only 1 or 2 genuinely nice people. They are FAKE!

The people who post negative views on any chapters page are most likely either cowards with nothing to do with their lives or bitter about that chapter for some reason that’s their own fault. I truly hope you all go into recruitment with an open heart, mind, and give every girl you talk to in every chapter an opportunity to connect with you so you can find your sisterhood. If you actually believe anything on this godforsaken website then you do not belong in a sorority, as I guarantee you NONE of the women in greek life at UAB would want you if they found out you were judgey towards another chapter before even meeting them. This message was written last year and I will continue to repost it every. single. recruitment. that I'm apart of. Last words of an active member: NO ONE LIKES A JUDGEY LITTLE GIRL. Just because you become a member of one sorority, that doesn't mean your best friend is apart of a different sorority. Peace, love, happiness.

I was genuinely depressed when I was in this sorority. It was so hard to make friends and I would cry almost daily because i felt so out of place. NEW ON GREEKRANK

Alpha Xi Delta - ΑΞΔ Sorority at University of Alabama Birmingham - UAB 1.5 it’s a hit or miss with the people in this chapter. some ppl are awful & some people are ok. when i talked with them during fall rush i wanted to feel at home but i am happy where i am & my chapter. getting to see axid during the school year the involvement & sisterhood is poor but they are very popular for parting & social life. i do have friends in this chapter & starting nursing school in the fall but they really feel like its worse dropping since it consumes so much time. just be smart & make sure you are genuinely happy.

Alpha Xi Delta - ΑΞΔ Sorority at University of Alabama Birmingham - UAB 1.9 Going through primary recruitment last august i felt like I was home but as the days went and after sisterhood retreat I knew I made the biggest regret of my freshman year. The current president doesn't know her left from her right and the girls in this chapter are probably some of the worst people you will ever meet. If you want to join a sorority to meet new people join any other. Axids instagram may look like they are close and have a close bond but in realty they are having to force it by having three different groups for events and forcefully separate these girls. If you chapter cant actually have a family like structure than what is the point of joining? Not worth the money, not worth the stress. You are in college FOR COLLEGE not for alcohol poisoning with a bunch of girls who care less about you. I will officially be dropping right after primary recruitment so I can tell my story to each pnm I get the opportunity to talk to so maybe see you on the flip side... ps if you going to nursing school do not join a sorority in general... you will NOT have time for it and thank you for reading.
