by: JimSo Chandler's trial starts tomorrow. I can't imagine how he's feeling right now. I almost feel a little sorry for him, because if we're honest - a lot of us have idiotically driven drunk. But for us, the stars were in alignment or something and we didn't kill three innocent people. I'm also wondering if Sig Ep will ever acknowledge their role in this tragedy. They should have made some kind of statement in my opinion.

Assistant District Attorney Jeff Nieman asked the jury to pay attention to evidence that is “clearly above and beyond driving while impaired.”
“You will hear that while there were people who are tending to the 9-year-old girl on the ground, wailing in pain, her mother, her mother’s best friend and her niece dead in the car, that this man wouldn’t stop honking his horn, cursing at the first responders, telling them to hurry up and help him,” Nieman said.

Daughter of one of the victims says her mom was coming home from a memorial service in Virginia when she was killed in crash. Darlene McGee had grandmother’s urn in car when she was killed. McGee’s daughter: “Her ashes were scattered on the pavement."

Sad that so many students are worried about how this affects them personally or what will happen to the murderer -- rather than doing something to help victims.
