How important are recs for rush?

Obviously not make-or-break like they are at Bama or Auburn, but get them if you can. Two chapters have a national rule requiring a rec before they can give you a bid. Plus it's just 5 chapters vs. 17 or 18, so why not make the effort to be prepared?

I got into a sorority without a rec, my sorority has to have one from an alumn before you can get a bid. But we want members so a designated person fills them out before pref
