greek housing

by: transferstudent

Hi! I'm a transfer and I know that there is no greek housing here. How is greek life without it? I know that living together makes people closer, so I was wondering if greek life isn't a huge part at this school because there isn't housing? Sorry, and thank you :)

Hello!! I am a freshman involved in greek life at UT and at first was disheartened that there is no greek row on campus but it actually can be a positive thing because you aren't isolated to just one group of people all the time. Although there is no official greek housing at UT, many fraternities have houses that are off campus and they host a lot of darties and themed events which are super fun to go to!! Next semester I am moving off campus into a house with three of my sorority sisters, so it's the next best thing to greek housing -- plus no official housing means cheaper dues! :)
