University of Tampa - UT Greek Life Reviews

Students are very involved within and outside of Greek life. They are social and are real leaders on campus.

Around 500+ girls rushed which is a lot for a small school like UT and around 200 got a bid. Honestly I had no idea about Greek life and my best friend talked me into rushing, BEST decision ever. Even if you don’t get the sorority you want rush is an amazing experience in its self. DO NOT come into recruitment with your heart set on 1 or 2 sororities because most of the times it doesn’t work out. I saw girls who had there hearts set on DG, SDT and Theta and never got called back and were devistated Ranking of Sororites of what you expect from Big schools like Bama and FSU: Top Tier: DG & SDT Top/middle: DZ Middle Tier: KAO, AXO Middle/bottom: SK Bottom Tier: Pi Phi\n\n\n\n\nDG - preppy girls , some are super nice but definetly have fake presence AXO - good philanthropy you have your good girls and your wild child’s depends on the group DZ - some preppy girl but some the (not a totally a DG girl but very close this will work) SDT - hipster, laid back and very cool, have a lot of energy, super nice KAO - diverse group, similar to AXO, good girls and wild child PiPhi- honestly very nice girls but very odd, some girls are super cool but majority are odd but very diverse SK- get a lot of hate cause new they have a lot of rejects(just missed the mark to get into the orginal 6) but new PC class really great see them like AXO/KAO level in a couple years

even though this is a medium sized school I feel like greek life has a large presence. lots of people rush, both girls and guys. not having housing kind of sucks but tbh at least our dues are cheaper because we don't have to pay for housing. oh, and as for hazing my sorority personally does not haze and I have not personally heard of other sororities hazing... but certain frats DEFINITELY haze. just beware if you're planning on rushing a frat

I'm down for UT Greek life. Having no houses though, SUCKS.
