rec vs. underground

I'm thinking of transferring and all my friends at cortland are involved in the undergroud scene. What's the relationship between the underground frats and recognized ones? Which ones are more popular? Who are the overall top frats?

Go national if you're gonna go Greek. It's so risky getting involved with an underground, and not just with the college. Some of the undergrounds are considered gangs and the police get involved with them. There's three great national fraternities on campus, you'll fit in somewhere.
