Recruitment really doesn't work like that. When you rush, you rush ALL sororities. It's useless to just hope for one because you WILL be disappointed. As much as people say its a mutual selection process, the sororities really hold all the cards. The PNM does not pick the sorority, the sorority picks the PNMs. Just trust the process and be open-minded. You'll end up where you're supposed to go.

Depends on what you’re looking for. If you want attention but no sisterhood or respect, go for one of the top tiers. If you want to be ignored and considered less attractive, but have a genuine sisterhood that’s involved in important things like philanthropy/academics, go for bottom/mid. Just figure out what works for you!

This person is an idiot. Sigma and pockets of Zeta have plenty of sisterhood. Even Phi Mu has "some" sisterhood, but we're talking top tier here, not Phi Mu... lol. I know a girl in Phi Mu who is social, good grades, pretty and super charitable with her time. She also dates a not Top Tier fratboy. Some of them are examplery.
In fact some of the Top Tiers get really good grades too. Depends on the people or group.
The Bottom and Mids have less attractive girls overall on average, but some of them could be in any sorority based on looks.

I would like to state that what "Hey" said is total BS and why so many girls are upset after Rush.
You can do work to get in the sorority you want. You can talk and find out about them early on. You don't have to believe that the Greek Sorting Hat will figure out what's best for you and it was God's plan. Learning about a group of girls beforehand and deciding that's your group is NOT you being naive.
