Alpha Tau Omega - ΑΤΩ Fraternity at University of Kentucky - UK 3.0 My thoughts and prayers are with Marco’s family during this difficult time. Being from a different ATO chapter it’s very sad to see them kicked off but at the same time I think nationals handled this right. This is pretty much one of the worst situations imaginable and what people don’t understand is that Greek Life in general already has a bad rep in the eyes of the public and the media so them only being suspended would make other people think that ATO Nationals and the university wasn’t aware of how serious this was and make ATO and the rest of Greek Life look very bad. Once again very sad to see ATO no longer chartered there and thoughts and prayers are with Marco’s family.

He is not part of ATO and it is not fair to the great, wonderful and smart boys in the fraternity that have represented so well for decade. This situation needs to be dealt with with ONLY the boy that is held accountable. People are ridiculous. The boy should spend many many years behind bars. It was HIS actions, not the fraternity. This is what is wrong with the world. Always having to pin situations on others because he can’t own up for his own actions.

the national ATO chapter probably knows a bit more than you do about the situation, and im sure they didnt just jump to this stage very lightly so there must have been something else that they found that made them pull the plug

It is a shared responsibility and a wrong decision in the first place to consume alcohol during public parties. Selfish people who want to feel good at the expense of others should not be tolerated.

I’m sure they do, sweetheart. But, if your son was in ATO and you spent so much money towards the fraternity for 3 years, who wasn’t even at the tailgate or new the “pledge”, wouldn’t you be just a little more sympathetic? Probably not though, considering you don’t even have proper grammar or information, also, not heart since you aren’t responding about the tradegy at all, just responding to start problems.

This wasn’t the point of the original message. The original message was to send out condonaces to the family of the little boy and the fraternity. NOT Jacob Heil. No one made him get in the car and drive, it’s on him. No one MADE him drink anything to begin with. Actions have consequences.
