Do letters of rec from alumni's/sisters of a sorority from another school help during rush?

no, thats a southern sorority thing - no letter or recommendation is required (and it doesn't help/hurt your chances if you have one or not) However, you are considered a "legacy" if someone in your immediate family was in that same sorority (i.e. your mom was a ZTA at penn state or your Aunt was a Phi Sig at URI) when you fill out the recruitment registration form, it will ask you to list any family members that were in any of the sororities on campus.

Different sororities have their rules about that but can say for a fact that it could actually help or hurt you depending on what the person wrote
