Beta Theta Pi - ΒΘΠ Fraternity at University of Washington Seattle - UW 1.5 Betas are just that, absolute betas. Definition of the word. It's funny seeing them around living off the reputation built for them 20 years ago (the last time it was top tier), but if you have any sense I wouldn't recommend rushing here. Lets just gloss over the lack of diversity, lack of brotherhood, and put all the allegations aside. They party with maybe 2 other frats, and sure some sororities will come for the parties but they're only really tight with 2. Hmm.. oh right, they background check you to see how much money your parents make. Pretty sad for a house full of betas, but that's what you get with spoiled brats at a public uni. Careful.

Beta Theta Pi - ΒΘΠ Fraternity at University of Washington Seattle - UW 2.7 I never thought that in my lifetime I would be taking time out of my day to write something on greek rank. However, there are some things I feel that are important to address coming from a girl in the greek system here at UW. First and foremost, the lack of diversity in this house is uncomfortable. Obviously, greek life lacks diversity in general but this house is built around elitism and lookism that caters to primarily white, rich gentlemen to an extreme. As someone who attended events at this house, I felt uncomfortable and really out of place as a guest. I did not feel welcomed. I did not feel respected. And I truly believe people have to conform to a certain "type of person" to be able to get along and be seen in this type of environment. I am not saying all of the guys in the house are like this (because good and bad people exist everywhere) however you will not find that the majority treats everyone equally and with kindness and respect. The social ladder, the guys with big egos who think they are better than everyone simply because they are in a "top" house makes me feel like I am in high school all over again.
