How do you get into one of the top 4?

Incoming first year and am wondering how rush works. An earlier post said that Elmo/deke/zete already know in the summer what their PC’s will look like but was wondering if you can still get a bid regardless of previous connections?

No need, I know plenty of guys in DKE/Hall/Elmo/Zete that didn’t know anyone going in…I won’t lie and say that connections don’t help, but you can still get into the top 4 without connections, just be a cool person to talk to
