social media presence

How important are a pnm’s instagram or facebook accounts in the recruitment process? Will someone be at a disadvantage during rush if they aren’t really active on social media?

If you have public social media, expect to get stalked somewhat - chapters like to know as much about PNMs as possible so they can hopefully introduce you to women in the chapters with similar backgrounds and interests. My chapter definitely didn’t penalize people they couldn’t find on social media, but it just meant that they knew less about that person going in.

If you don’t submit a photo with your application they’ll try and pull a photo off social media if they can find it so the girls will know who they’re talking to. Other than that I don’t think it’s that important
