theta chi
by: ConfusedSo many people keep putting theta chi at the top of their rankings. Theta Chi has less than 200 brothers and their parties are not fun. The only somewhat notable thing they've done is have Roscoe Dash, who is washed up and barely played. Stop ranking fraternities on here until you have been to a few of their functions.

The rest of your post is strictly opinion based, so I’ll comment on the one statistical part.. Fraternities that aim to have 200+ brothers are inherently worse because it encourages shotgun bidding and creates a cliquey brotherhood. The fact that they intentionally cut off at 50-55 pledges every year is what makes them an exclusive fraternity and not another Fiji, KA, or Lambda Chi.
Sigma Nu also uses this rush strategy and you can see how it pays off. Personally, that’s why I consider Theta Chi and SNu the two best frats in Auburn

There is no target number where you are perfect. Larger fraternities tend to have better parties and climb the social ladder, smaller fraternities have opportunity for closer brotherhood. The main characteristics for a solid fraternity would be social life, quality of physical house, academics, alumni, money, and involvement. There are about 8-9 fraternities that hit these marks and despite what people say the rankings change all the time and you can’t leave out personal preferences. Theta Chi ten years ago was not great but now has an amazing social scene. SAE four years ago was the best and now they are lacking.
