I received an invitation to apply for the Balanced Man Scholarship sponsored by Sig Ep. How prestigious is this award on a resume? Would competing or even winning hurt my chances at other frats?

Its the easiest thing to get, my friend at another school applied for it, got it, and didn't even go Sig Ep. They gave him a scholarship as he was pledging a different house. Free money though if you get it.

I am pretty sure its just an application process, you don't even have to get a bid from Sig Ep.

Googling says there are in person interviews and a awards dinner.
